Stay still.

If you move, they might see you.

Lose the element of surprise, you’d better take the initiative, or momentum is your coin flip.

If you rush, your mind may stumble over your body, your head over your heels--disquieting chaos does not beget precision.

Even observing disturbs the system--insert yourself to create change and your presence not your will becomes the ripple.

Good things come to those that wait--and seize them.

Chase the future and you will lose yourself.

Happiness is a practice, not a destination.

The journey will never be the dream you thought it to be; a goal once realized, a peak once summited is mighty for the path that was walked and the challenges scaled--the view, the perch, the lofty perspective earned or not is nothing without the contrast of the ground, the bottom, the base.

Have you lost yourself, have you lost your breath, the air that gives you lust for life and tends to all the energy you have?

Run, chase, covet, cower.

All you must do is be still.

Stay still until all of you is gathered. Stay still until the next step is your right moment. You may miss out. You may miss. Mistakes made without a chance of success are not your fault. There is no lesson to learn except to try again when the moment is right.

There may never be a perfect opportunity. But if you have never been still you will not know where your leap begins. Even the air hangs still and the deep ocean floor lies undisturbed. Stillness is not death. It is the contrast to movement, the darkness to light, the absence which makes time’s inexorable progression powerless to perceive failure or success. It is being in, by, with, for, from, at, and away oneself.
